MoDOT to Close Eastbound Interstate 64, Ramps Downtown this Weekend
ST. LOUIS - The Missouri Department of Transportation will close eastbound I-64 and several ramps downtown this weekend as part of ongoing bridge repair work to the double deck structure.
The following will close this weekend:
All lanes and ramps on eastbound Interstate 64 between Jefferson and 6th Street will be closed starting at 8 p.m. Friday, January 6. In addition, the ramps from Pine Street, Forest Park and Ewing to eastbound Interstate 64 will close at 7 p.m. Friday, January 6.
The detour for this closure will be to take Jefferson to I-44.
Crews will open one lane of eastbound I-64 to the 14th Street exit at 6 p.m. Saturday, January 7 to allow fans to get to the Blues home game.
One lane on westbound Interstate 64 between 6th Street and Jefferson will be closed between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. During the same time, either the ramp from Broadway to westbound I-64 or the ramp from 10th street to I-64 will be closed, depending on if the left or right lane on westbound I-64 is closed. Both ramps will not be closed at the same time.
All lanes and ramps will reopen by 8 p.m. Sunday, January 8.
Motorists will experience delays during this work and are encouraged to use alternate routes. Plan ahead -- for ways to avoid work zones, call 1-888-ASK-MODOT or visit our website at http://www.modot.org/ .
