Intersection of Lindell Boulevard and Union Drive To Remain Closed Two Weeks For Repairs Following Water Main Break
Repairs are underway by the City's Water Division, MSD, and the City's Street Department.

The City of St. Louis and the Metropolitan Sewer District expect the road closure at Lindell Boulevard and Union Drive to last two weeks or longer while repairs continue following the rupture of a 30-inch water main last week.
The resulting flooding impacted the roadway, Forest Park, and MetroLink. Relatedly, the MSD sewer main was discovered to need major rebuilding spanning nearly 100-feet.
“These repairs are going to take longer than we initially expected because of the severity of the impact to the sewers,” said Todd Waelterman, the City’s Director of Operations.
The City’s Water Division is wrapping up replacement to the 30-inch water main, including the installation of 70-feet of a new water main.
MSD, on Sunday, began repair work on the sewer mains impacted by the rupture. That work is anticipated to last through the end of the week.
The City’s Street Department will begin street restoration once MSD completes its work.
