Lobbyist Prohibition
Summary
An ordinance prohibiting the City of St. Louis and any agency, department, or instrumentality of the City, and any unelected boards or commissions whose activities are funded either in whole or in part, directly or indirectly by the City of St. Louis and whose membership includes one or more members appointed by the Mayor from entering into contracts with or otherwise spending monies for any individual or entity to provide legislative or executive lobbying services, and providing exceptions for: lobbyists under contract with the City to exclusively provide lobbying services to the City or any agency, department or instrumentality of the City and no other clients; lobbyists under contract with an unelected board or commission to exclusively provide lobbying services to such board or commission and no other clients; City employees directly employed by the City or any agency or instrumentality of the City for whom the employee acts as a lobbyist or lobbying is part of the employee's job description; and elected officials of the City of St. Louis.
