Redevelopment Plan for the Gateway South Redevelopment Area
Summary
This Board Bill seeks to approve a Chapter 99 Redevelopment Plan and Blighting Study for the Gateway South Redevelopment Area. The projects will include the renovation of numerous commercial, and industrial buildings and construction of new buildings in 94 acres in the Downtown, Kosciusko, and La Salle Park neighborhoods. The uses will be commercial, industrial, and residential. This Board Bill will allow up to fifteen (15) years of tax abatement (10 years based on 90 percent of the assessed value of the incremental improvements and followed by 5 years based on 50 percent of the assessed value of the incremental improvements).
