The Lambert Art and Culture Program at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport is launching a spring music series beginning February 18 and ending May 20, 2016. Live musicians will be entertaining travelers in the concourses on Thursdays and Fridays each week from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
“The Lambert Art and Culture Program has done so much to beautify our airport with incredible physical artworks,” said Airport Director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge. “Adding performance art, especially with some of the best local musicians, is a fantastic avenue to welcome our travelers in a uniquely St. Louis way.”
The live bands will vary from solo artists, to duos and trios performing a wide range of musical genres that include Jazz, Blues, RnB, Top 40, Rock, Latin/World, Country and Singer/Songwriter. The entertainment will regularly alternate between Terminal 1 (concourses A and C) and Terminal 2. The music program is being managed by Contemporary Productions.
In May of 2015, the airport celebrated #Lambert Thanks customer appreciation week, which was the first time live bands were introduced into the gate areas. “The response was so overwhelmingly positive,” said Hamm-Niebruegge, “that even after one week we knew it was a concept worth pursuing.”
The entertainment schedule is available online.
