National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
On Saturday, the Drug Enforcement Administration will be hosting it’s annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

On Saturday, October 27, the Drug Enforcement Administration will be hosting it’s annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, which aims to remove as many unused prescription drugs from our community in a safe and convenient way.
All city residents are encouraged to gather any unused or expired medications and take them to a nearby disposal location. (The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches.)
The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
You can find a location near your home here.
You can drop off your unused and expired prescription drugs between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at any of the sites.
This event gives the public the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Overall, in its 12 previous Take Back events, the DEA and its partners have taken in over 7.1 million pounds—more than 3,500 tons—of pills.
