Yusuf Daneshyar

Yusuf (he/him/his) is the Secretary of Communications and Public Engagement for the President of the Board of Aldermen. In this role, he ensures that the work being done in the President’s Office reaches the public. Before working in City Hall, Yusuf had diverse work experience as a small business owner/operator and published author. Through his non-profit experience, he worked closely with the United States Forest Service and Missouri State Parks to plan and execute restoration and improvement projects through community organizing, public engagement, and fundraising.

A graduate of Saint Louis University, Yusuf has lived in the city for nearly 20 years. He lives in the new 5th Ward with his wife and son.
