The City of St. Louis has created a Transparency section on the website in order to improve government openness and increase awareness of how the City spends your taxpayer dollars.
The website has two main features. First, it makes finding certain City budget and financial documents easier by putting links to them in one location. Secondly, it contains a searchable expenditure database that allows users to see City expenditures by department, vendor and account from fiscal year 2010 to the present (fiscal year 2014). Current expenditure data for fiscal year 2014 will be posted monthly.
