CDA Capacity-Building Trainings and Meetings

St. Louis, MO – Starting May 24, the City of St. Louis’ Community Development Administration (CDA) will host over 20 hours of training for local non-profit organizations, developers, and contractors. Divided into housing and non-housing tracks and comprised of 1.5 to 2 hour sessions over a seven-week period, the goal of the workshops is to prepare participants to apply for funding available through CDA.

CDA facilitates housing and community development activities by administering federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership (HOME), Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), Lead Hazard Reduction and Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grant funds received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CDA strengthens the City of St. Louis and its neighborhoods by partnering with local government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private firms to carry out housing development, home repair, business and economic development, public facility improvement, historic preservation, and social service programs.

The capacity-building workshops will provide an overview of HUD-funded programs, along with best practices on annual application processes. Participants will also learn about specific fiscal, programmatic, and eligibility requirements.

Information on the workshops, including how to register, can be found on the CDA website.
