Comptroller's Statement on the Passing of Ivy Neyland-Pinkston, Deputy Comptroller of Finance & Development
Ivy Neyland-Pinkston, Deputy Comptroller of finance & Development, passes away after valiantly battling leukemia.

On the afternoon of
September 28, 2015, Ivy Neyland-Pinkston passed
away at Barnes-Jewish Hospital after valiantly battling leukemia
for more than five years.
Born on April 22, 1957 in Nuremburg,
Germany, Ivy was the second child of Leroy and Bessie Neyland. She earned
her bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville in 1978 and fell in
love with St. Louis while earning her MBA from St. Louis University in 1981.
For nearly 26 years, she served as Deputy Comptroller for Finance and Development for the City of St. Louis, where she worked diligently to bring major economic development to the city.
She was also active in the St. Louis chapter of Jack and Jill of America, and other civic organizations.
She is survived by her son, Drake Pinkston, step-daughter, Leslie Gill, her parents, and six brothers and sisters.
A celebration of her life was held at the Four Seasons Hotel, St. Louis, at 10:00 a.m.on Saturday, October 3, 2015.
