STL Youth Jobs is Gearing Up for a Bright Summer

Donations are coming in for the summer jobs program which benefits St. Louis Youth

On Monday, April 27, 2015 city leaders gathered for the unofficial start of STL Youth Jobs. The program began in the summer of 2013 and provides employment for young people between 16-23 years of age. 

The Comptroller's Office has been involved in the effort since its inception. Each year, STL Youth Jobs continues to experience growth. At today's news conference, the Executive Director and Director of Development were introduced to the public and the press. There was also a donation check presented in the amount of $259,400. 

This year, 1,000+ young people are expected to receive summer employment through STL Youth Jobs and the work of its partners. The official kickoff of the summer jobs program is Monday, June 1st.
