City of St. Louis Continues Winter Operations Monday, Tuesday Evenings

More freezing temperatures and inclement weather are forecasted this week

ST. LOUIS -- The City of St. Louis and its partner agencies and volunteers will continue Winter Operations through Wednesday morning as freezing temperatures and inclement weather are forecasted this week. Increased outreach and additional shelter bed space is made available to accommodate unsheltered homeless men, women, and children. 

Referrals for winter shelter should be made through the Housing Resource Center hotline at (314) 802-5444, through the United Way by dialing 211, or by reporting to The Bridge Outreach, 1610 Olive St., St. Louis, MO 63103 before 5:30 p.m. The Bridge is the central pick-up point and will connect people to appropriate shelter locations.

Winter Operations for Monday,  January 11, 2016,  are as follows:

Metropolitan Community Church

No Walk-Ups, transportation leaves from The Bridge at 6 p.m.

12th and Park (men only)

Limited walk-up availability, transportation leaves from The Bridge at 6 p.m.
Shelter location: 12th and Park, 1410 South Tucker, St. Louis, MO 63104 

Winter Operations for Tuesday, January 12, 2016, are as follows:

After 6 p.m., the following shelters are available for walk-ups:

Calvary Missionary Baptist Church

Limited walk-up availability, transportation leaves from The Bridge at 6 p.m.

Shelter location: 2822 Dr. Martin Luther King, St. Louis, MO 63106 

Friends

Limited walk-up availability, transportation leaves from The Bridge at 6 p.m.

Shelter location: Friends, 1001 Park Ave. St. Louis, MO 63104

12th and Park (men only)

Limited walk-up availability, transportation leaves from The Bridge at 6 p.m.
Shelter location: 12th and Park, 1410 South Tucker, St. Louis, MO 63104 

Metropolitan Community Church (MCC)

No Walk-Ups, transportation leaves from The Bridge at 6 p.m.

Staff and volunteers from St. Louis Winter Outreach, St. Patrick Center, The Bridge Outreach, Gateway 180, Places for People, BJC Behavioral, St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, City of St. Louis, and other partners are working together to decrease weather-related deaths and hospital visits among people who are homeless in the St. Louis community.
