What

USDA Food and Nutrition Service Regional Administrator Darlene Barnes will join Mayor Francis Slay and Karen Kocher, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the YMCA of Greater St. Louis, to bring awareness to the City's School's Out Café, which operates through August 8, 2015.

During the school year, thousands of the City's children are provided breakfast and lunch at school. But, over the summer months, many of these students do not have access to a nutritious breakfast or lunch. To help meet their needs, the City's Department of Human Services is again sponsoring School's Out Café, a summer meal program, funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Free breakfast and lunch is served at more than 75 sites to anyone 18 years or younger.
