City of St. Louis Resumes Twice-a-Week Trash Collection

In an effort to maintain clean neighborhoods, the City of St. Louis will immediately resume twice-a-week solid waste trash pickup. Yard waste will continue to be collected from roll carts on Wednesdays and from alley containers on Thursdays and Fridays. Bulk items will continue to be collected once per month.

"We have listened to the concerns and requests of the citizens and have decided to resume twice-a-week trash collection immediately," said Todd Waelterman, Streets Director. "With the holiday weekend and warm weather approaching, twice-per-week trash collection will help to keep our neighborhoods clean and sanitary. However, I hope people continue to think twice about what they throw away – many of the items that end up in landfills can easily be recycled."

Illegal dumping also becomes more prevalent in the summer months. Please notify the City of St. Louis if you feel illegal dumping is occurring in your neighborhood.
