City of St. Louis Continues Winter Shelter and Outreach Operations

Increased Outreach and Shelter Beds Available for Winter Operations.

ST. LOUIS –With severely cold winter weather is sticking around, the Winter Outreach team will continue operations for the next four evenings. Increased outreach and additional shelter bed space will continue to be made available to accommodate unsheltered homeless men, women, and children.

Referrals for winter shelter should be made through the Housing Resource Center hotline at (314) 802-5444, United Way by dialing 211, or by following the protocol for the corresponding days.

Winter Operations for Thursday, February 11; Friday, February 12; Saturday, February 13; and, Sunday, February 14, are as follows:

As noted below, transportation to shelters is coordinated nightly through either the Bridge Outreach at 1610 Olive St., St. Louis, MO 63103, or Christ Church Cathedral at 1210 Locust St., St. Louis, MO 63103. All homeless individuals and families should sign-up for shelter placement and transportation assistance prior to5:30 p.m.;transportation leaves at6 p.m.to the following shelters each night:

Staff and volunteers from St. Louis Winter Outreach, St. Patrick Center, The Bridge Outreach, Gateway 180, Places for People, BJC Behavioral, St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, City of St. Louis, and other partners are working together to decrease weather-related deaths and hospital visits among people who are homeless in the St. Louis community.
