Angela (she/her) serves as Deputy Operations Director for Mayor Tishaura O. Jones. In this role, Angela handles various responsibilities including sustainability policy, city department operations, performance management, and external affairs. She has experience working in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Angela’s past roles include Legislative Aide for 5th District Councilwoman Ryana Parks-Shaw of Kansas City, MO, Account Manager at GPS Impact and Project Manager for MO Black Votes. Angela is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with degrees in journalism and political science with a minor in Spanish.
She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Inc. When she is not at work, Angela enjoys giving back to her community. She is the Vice Chair of the St. Louis Mizzou Alumni Scholarship Committee, Board Chair of LeadMO, Advisor for the Missouri Inclusive Democracy Fund, and a volunteer with the Sophia Project. In addition, Angela is a recipient of the 2023 St. Louis American Salute to Young Leaders Award and the 2023 Mizzou Recent Alumni Honoree Award.
