Luncheon time slots available are as follows:
Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The wedding ceremony time slots available are as follows:
- Friday:
4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - Saturday:
12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. - Sunday:
3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The reception time slots available are as follows:
- Sunday through Thursday
5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. - Friday and Saturday
6:00 p.m. to Midnight
Maximum capacity in the Jewel Box for a wedding ceremony is 250 people. For a reception with a dance floor, capacity is 140 people.

Preparation
- Your reservation must be made in person, but you may call 314-289-5330 to check the availability of the Jewel Box.
- Assemble the following information, which the Parks Division will require for your reservation:
- Spouse 1 and Spouse 2 - name, address, home/work phone number, email address (if reserving a wedding or reception
- Organization name and contact information (if reserving a luncheon)
- Date and time of event
- Number in wedding party (if wedding)
- Number of guests and number of chairs
- Prepare a check or money order to bring with you to the Parks Division for your reservation. Make your check payable to City of St. Louis.
Instructions
Reservations must be made in person and can be scheduled up to two years in advance. Full rental fee is due when you make the reservation. Payments must be checks or money orders only; the Parks Division is not set up for credit cards or cash.

Fees
Once payment is received, the date cannot be changed and the fee is non-refundable.
- Luncheons are $600, plus security deposit and insurance.
- Wedding ceremonies are $1,000.
- Receptions/Parties are priced as follows:
- Sunday through Thursday
5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Fee: $1,650, plus security deposit and insurance - Friday and Saturday
6:00 p.m. to Midnight
Fee: $3,150, plus security deposit and insurance
- Sunday through Thursday
The fee is for the entire duration listed. Time slots cannot be subdivided or reduced.
In addition to the rental fee, receptions and special events require a $500 security deposit. The security deposit will be forfeited in the event of damage to park property, missing or damaged park equipment, failure to leave the Jewel Box in a clean condition, and/or failure to comply with the rules and conditions stated in this contract. For receptions and special events, a $1,000,000 liability insurance certificate naming the City of St. Louis as an additional insured is also required.
10 60" round tables and up to 250 chairs are included in the rental fee.
What to Expect
Setup
All equipment must be set out and taken down within the rental time. Any other equipment needed such as aisle runners, microphones, extension cords, podiums, sound systems, etc., should be rented from a private source. 10 60" round tables (for receptions) and chairs are provided, but must be set up by your party or your caterer. There is no wi-fi.
Storage of any equipment or other accessory items belonging to your party is not permitted. The Jewel Box is not responsible for any equipment or other items left behind.
All activity related to your event must occur within your selected rental time including any setup of equipment. Keep this in mind when deciding times to put on your invitations.
Decorating
Candles are allowed if the flames are enclosed in a glass rose bowl, hurricane lamp or the like.
The use of nails, screws, tape, tacks, etc. to fasten decorations or other materials to walls, doors or from the ceiling is strictly prohibited.
Catering
All events at the Jewel Box must be catered by a company from our Authorized Caterers list. The caterer or other representative is responsible for all the setup and placement of tables and chairs.
Cleanup
Cleanup is required immediately following the event within the rental period. All trash is to be bagged and placed in the dumpster behind the Jewel Box. The sinks in the catering area should be wiped clean with no food particles left behind and any trash generated by the caterer is to be disposed of and removed from the Jewel Box. It will be the rental party/caterer's responsibility to clean the tables and chairs and return them to the storage area. Floors are to be swept clean and mopped.
Additional Information
Smoking is not permitted in any part of the Jewel Box at any time. Sand ash bins are placed outside the main entrance.
