About
Built in 1967 on the southwest corner of Benton Park, the Cherokee Recreation Center features a gymnasium, boxing and workout room as well as a craft room and an indoor swimming pool.
Use of the center is free, boxing is a popular evening activity Monday through Friday.
Benton Park also has a playground, lake and two tennis courts.

Details and registrationRedbird Rookies is a recreational baseball and softball league sponsored by Cardinals Care. It is a free, noncompetitive program for youth ages 5-13. In addition to providing all the uniforms and equipment needed for each team, Redbird Rookies provides extensive off-field support in the areas of health, education, mentoring, cultural arts and scholarship.
