Sustainable Neighborhood Initiative
An initiative to inspire, empower and position neighborhood groups and residents to make sustainability changes in their own community.
The City of St. Louis Sustainable Neighborhood Initiative is an effort implementing several aspects of the City of St. Louis Sustainability Plan and the Mayor's Action Agenda.
The launch was made possible by the generous support of The Funders' Network and ten local sustainability funders.
Sustainable Neighborhood Programs & Tools
City of St. Louis Sustainable Neighborhood Toolkit v1.0
The Toolkit features 27 how-to tools for implementing specific neighborhood-scale sustainability projects, includes general tips about organizing and fundraising, and highlights local resources and case studies.
Sustainable Community Projects
Local St. Louis sustainable community projects including winning projects from LandLab and the Sustainable Neighborhood competitions.
Milkweeds for Monarchs: The St. Louis Butterfly Project
A program designed to foster the connection between people and urban natural resources at the residential and neighborhood scale ... and beyond, Brightside St. Louis offers annual Neighbors Naturescaping grants for beautifuication projects in public spaces that include monarch gardens.
