Jaroslaw Czernikiewicz, P.E.

Jarek [ya-reck] Czernikiewicz [chair-knee-kay-vitch] is a registered professional engineer with experience in structural and civil engineering design, project management and team leadership. He has been the Chief Design Engineer for the Department of the President since 2017. His responsibilities include:

• Management of design and preparation of bid documents for construction projects in new and existing City structures and facilities such as bridges, streets, parks and buildings.
• Administration of consultant contracts for professional services to the Board of Public Service.
• Overseeing the work of the BPS Design Division's in-house design staff of project managers, professional engineers, designers and technicians.
• Management of safety inspection program of City-owned bridges.
• Overseeing design reviews of BPS permit applications for public improvements within the City right-of-way.
