"Do you know if the text was pasted in from somewhere like a PDF that might have some weird stuff in it? If so, you might consider doing a ctrl+shift+v to paste (which should strip formatting). And/or selecting all the pasted text and using the text area toolbar button that is supposed to remove formatting."

It happens every time regardless of ctrl+shift+v. Happens in BPS Projects also.
