Summary
Pedestrian Safety Action Plan (PSAP), 2013:
The purpose of the PSAP was to clarify the nature of pedestrian crashes in the City of St. Louis and to identify solutions to reduce fatalities and severe injuries.  This action plan was prepared by the City of St. Louis and the Missouri Department of Transportation, in conjunction with the East-West Gateway Council of Governments.

Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) for the City of St. Louis, 2014:
Missouri completed its first SHSP in 2004 and later updated it in 2012 as Missouri’s Blueprint to Save More Lives. This current version includes a vision, mission, and fatality reduction goal, and recommended strategies to reduce roadway fatalities and serious injuries within the City of St. Louis.

City of St. Louis Pedestrian Safety Action Plan, 2015-2016:
Following the creation of a Complete Streets Policy, Mayor Francis Slay further strengthened his commitment to improving public safety by hiring the City’s first bicycle/pedestrian coordinator in October 2015. Since that time implementation of the City’s original PSAP has accelerated and the plan itself has been updated.  This living document will be revisited each year to reflect new approaches and priorities for improving safety on the City’s complex transportation network.
