Bike Share Working Group
A group made up of government and institutional officials, elected officials, community leaders, advocacy groups, residents, and private sector stakeholders
The Bike Share Working Group is a diverse stakeholder group made up of government and institutional officials, elected officials, community leaders, advocacy groups, residents, and private sector stakeholders.
The group came together in 2017 to plan and implement bike share in the St. Louis region, building off of the 2014 Great Rivers Greenway community engagement and study effort.
Their vision is to enable St. Louis bike/scooter share to provide a low-cost, environmentally-friendly transportation option that enhances the public transit network and residents’ health and quality of life, and makes St. Louis a more attractive, vibrant, and equitable community.
Since the implementation of the City of St. Louis Bike/Scooter Share Permit Program, the Bike Share Working Group meets quarterly to discuss, engage, and advise on bike/scooter share issues and opportunities with City staff, the bike/scooter share companies, and the community, with a particular focus on ensuring the group’s goals and vision are still being met with the current system.
