Department of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry

The City of St. Louis Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry is once again offering hayrides in Forest Park on Friday and Saturday nights on fall weekends.

Tractors pull the wagons, leaving from Faulkner and Wells Drive, and take approximately 45 minutes. A 30-minute bonfire is included after the hayride. You can bring items to roast at the bonfire. Only food and non-alcoholic beverages such as hot dogs, marshmallows, and cocoa are allowed at the bonfire. 

Reservations are required for hayrides, and all reservations must be made in person. You are reserving the entire wagon. The fee is $200 for one hayride wagon, with a maximum of 10 people per wagon. Note: Babies, children, pets, etc. count as one person, even if you are holding them or placing them on your lap.

October 22-23, 7 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.

October 29, 7 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.

November 6, 7 p.m.

November 12-13, 7 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.

November 19, 7 p.m. 

November 20, 7:15 p.m.

Please keep in mind:

• There are no refunds.
• Dates are not transferable.
• Hayrides go on rain or shine.
• Masks are required this year due to COVID-19.
• Due to COVID-19, no early socializing is permitted. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

To make your reservation:

Please visit the St. Louis City Parks Division in person to make your reservation. Bring your payment with you. Payment methods are personal check or money order made payable to City of St. Louis. The Parks Department does not accept online / electronic payments. The office is located at 5600 Clayton Avenue in Forest Park, St. Louis, MO 63110. Permit office hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
