St. Louis Celebrates Earth Day 2015
The City of St. Louis celebrated Earth Day in grand style on Sunday, April 26th. People came from all over to participate in this festival at Forest Park. One of the most popular booths was the City of St. Louis Department of Health’s.
This year’s booth promoted a healthy lifestyle that is centered on a healthy diet and being physically active. Visitors were provided information on how to improve their diets and incorporate more healthy foods along with opportunities to get moving and take photos with their favorite healthy foods. This message really resonated with kids of all ages. Here are just a few of the photos from that day.
Healthy living can be very sustainable. Diets high in plant-based foods are healthier for the body and place less strain on the environment. We encourage everyone to enjoy a diet that is high in plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains. For more information on how to eat a healthier diet or information on how to incorporate sustainability into your everyday lives, please contact the Health Institute at 314/657-1480 or healthinstitutestl@gmail.com.
