During a brief ceremony in the Mayor's office last month, Mayor Lyda Krewson recognized longtime City employee Guy Foshage and presented a 40-year service pin to him.

Guy Foshage recognized for his dedicated service to the city.

Foshage was appointed to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department in April of 1978. He started at the Motor Services Division as a Motor Service Attendant I. He quickly rose through the ranks first to Motor Service Attendant II and then Master Automotive Technician. Foshage is a very skilled technician who works very methodically with a high degree of accuracy. There is no job that he won't tackle and complete to perfection.

Foshage is the second generation of three generations to work at Laclede Garage. His father, the late Bernard "Bernie" Foshage was a legendary Manager at Laclede Garage; his brother Greg and son BJ have also worked at the Laclede Garage.

Foshage spends a lot of his free time camping and traveling, enjoying the great outdoors, and he was pleasantly surprised during the ceremony with the news that he will soon enjoy being a Grandfather.

Congratulations, Guy!
