If you have ever been to an event in Forest Park, chances are you have seen at least one of the Park Rangers of the Mounted Unit patrolling the grounds. Ranger David "Chopper" Liefheit and his mount Esmerelda (Ezzy) were recently featured in an article on St. Louis Sprout & About website.   

In case you're curious, Ezzy is 9 years old. She is a Perchon/Morgan mix and is in her 5th year with the St. Louis City Park Ranger Mounted Unit.
