Thanks to You, United Way Will Be Able to Help Many in Our Community

United Way of Greater St. Louis announced in November that our community has again shown incredible generosity by donating $68,070,527 to help people through United Way of Greater St. Louis.
Your donations will be used to help people like Liam, whose family needed answers when he was diagnosed with a heart condition; like Peter, who's found independence; like Charles and Charlette, who found a forever home with their uncle Robert.
Your donations will keep the heat on for seniors this winter, provide job training to a newly unemployed mom, make sure kids in our community are going to bed with their bellies full.
In fact, United Way will invest more than $1 million each week in quality nonprofits and community programs in 2011 to help one in three local people.
Bill Siedhoff, Director of The Department of Human Services, who again chaired the Government Division of this year’s campaign stated, “Special thanks to all City employees who contributed to the success of this year’s campaign. Despite the very difficult economy, people really stepped to the plate to once again help those in need.”
