Summary
This Board Bill seeks to approve a Chapter 99 Redevelopment Plan and Blighting Study for the Cass Ave./N. 14th St./O’Fallon St./Hogan St. Redevelopment Area. The proposed redevelopment consists of selective demolition, the construction of new multi-family buildings and the renovation of several of the existing multi-family buildings in the Carr Square neighborhood. The prospective redeveloper plans four phases of development, and the first phase has begun with constructing 45 new units, and renovating 86 of the existing units, all ranging from 1-3 bedrooms, at the cost of $ 17.9 million.. This Board Bill will allow for up to a 15-year tax abatement at 75 percent.
