This article is 5 years old. It was published on March 19, 2019.
City of St. Louis taxpayers with tangible personal property (i.e. vehicles, boats, trailers, etc.) are mandated by State law to file a list with the City of St. Louis Assessor’s office by April 1, 2019.
The tangible personal property that needs to be declared is that which you owned on January 1, 2019. Taxpayers who fail to file the Declaration by April 1st will be charged a 10% assessment penalty.
If you have the Declaration form that was mailed to you earlier this year, which included your account number and pin number, you can declare your personal property online here: https://declare.stlouis-mo.gov/
Electronic filing of the personal property declarations will no longer be available after the April 1, 2019 deadline.
You can download a blank 2019 Individual Personal Property Declaration form with instructions.
