I am delighted to congratulate Nicole Galloway on her appointment as Missouri State Auditor. It was an honor and a compliment to my hard work, and proven track record of protecting taxpayer dollars in the City of St. Louis, to have been short listed for consideration as State Auditor. When I received a call from Governor Jay Nixon today telling me of the closeness of the decision, and of his final choice, I felt humbled and honored.

I intend to focus my energies as Comptroller of the City of St. Louis to continue moving St. Louis forward. I will work to achieve an even brighter future with fiscal integrity, creative solutions, and transparent government. We have come a very long way in turning things around, and making St. Louis a better place to live by attracting young people, new business startups, hi-tech and bio-medical industries.

As Comptroller, I look forward to serving the citizens of St. Louis with dignity and integrity and doing what is in the best interest of the taxpayers.

When I called to congratulate Nicole Galloway I wished her all the best in her new position and I look forward to witnessing her bright future.

Darlene Green, COMPTROLLER
