(ST. LOUIS—August 16, 2019) Comptroller Darlene Green congratulates the MLS4TheLou ownership group and soccer fans for their successful effort to secure an MLS franchise for St. Louis.
“Congratulations to the ownership group, Carolyn Kindle Betz, Jim Kavanaugh and members of the Taylor family, for developing and championing a successful proposal that will bring MLS soccer to downtown St. Louis,” said Comptroller Green. “And congratulations to the many soccer fans throughout the St. Louis region for your passion and commitment that supported the effort.
“Your vote of confidence in St. Louis will have a positive impact in our city and region, and the team will serve as an inspiration for young soccer players and fans alike.”
