Two New COVID-19 Associated Deaths Announced for the City of St. Louis
The City of St. Louis Department of Health has been notified that two more deaths associated with COVID-19 have occurred, both African American males, one in his 50’s, and one in his 60’s. That brings the City’s total to 19. The Department announced that there are no plans to release additional information on the patients due to privacy laws.
COVID-19 is taking a serious toll on our community, everyone must take this virus seriously. Help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community by staying at home. If you must go out stay at least six feet from others and wear a mask to assist in preventing the spread of respiratory droplets from infected persons. Be mindful of the surfaces you touch and wash your hands often with soap and water, or use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available. If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as a cough or difficulty breathing, call your healthcare provider.
As of 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2020, there were 10 pending COVID-19 test results approved by the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services, 204 persons being monitored, and 645 positive cases in the City of St. Louis.
