Water Division Data

Percentage of water main restorations taking less than 8 hours to put back in service.

Water Main Restoration

This dashboard tracks  the percentage of emergency water main repairs completed within 8 hours of isolating the main for repairs.

Why Repairs Can Take Time

Underground complexity

Crews must identify the exact issue before work begins, often alongside gas, electric, and sewer lines.

Safety requirements

Site setup, valve operations, and utility locates are required before any excavation can start.

Aging infrastructure

Older mains and worn valves can complicate isolation and sometimes cause secondary breaks during repair.

What we're doing about it

The Water Division is developing a Water Master Plan to proactively replace aging mains and valves — using data-driven condition assessments and risk scoring to prioritize the work.
