Position Specifications
This is an upper level management position in the Community Development Administration. Responsibilities include serving as liaison with the Board of Aldermen with respect to the budget and funding of development projects; preparing and transmitting monthly status reports to aldermen concerning the status of projects, commitments, and expenditures within wards; assisting in the development of agency policies and strategies; supervising all monitoring functions; and representing the agency in the absence of the Executive Director.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Studies, or a related field; and, four years of progressively responsible administrative and fiscal experience involving federally assisted urban development programs; OR, an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Must be knowledgeable of relevant federal programs and regulations.

CITY RESIDENTS PREFERENCE POINTS: City residents who pass an examination for a position in the classified service and do not receive any other preference will receive a five (5) point preference on a scale of 100 points on the exam. An additional one (1) point shall be added to the passing score of City residents who receive any other preference on a scale of 100 points. City residents must have resided in the City for at least one (1) year at the time of filing their application to be eligible for the preference points.
