- Maximum: $62,686.00
Incumbents who meet the minimum experience and training requirements will start at $37,570 annually. Journeymen who have completed an apprenticeship program registered by the Department of Labor or equivalent will start at $49,114 annually. Proof of completion of a registered Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program and Journeyman status must be submitted at the time of filing the Employment Application.
Position Specifications
Incumbents in this position are responsible for performing journey-level carpentry duties to construct, maintain and alter City buildings and facilities.

Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree or completion of a two-year training program in Carpentry and/or Building Construction Technology or a closely related curriculum from a recognized trade school or junior college; plus two years of experience in the carpentry trade. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Incumbents are required to furnish their own basic carpentry tools.
Proof of educational achievement/training must be submitted upon request.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request. Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application.
