Position Specifications
Incumbents in this position will serve as the liaison between S.L.A.T.E. (St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment) and its funders to ensure grantors have monthly reports and updates on the grant’s fiscal progress and will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of each funding source’s budget and overall annual budget. Duties include staying abreast of federal, state, and local policies and procedures with regard to the grants that are maintained by the agency, which includes ensuring fiscal staff are properly trained on compliance policies and procedures; creating and implementing new polices, procedures, and fiscal mandates; distributing and dispersing individual grants and establishing responsibilities to designated accountants that will ensure proper oversight and monitoring. Incumbent will also be expected to track spending and provide monthly reports to Executive level leadership on a monthly basis.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Social Science, or a related field; plus four years of administrative or program management experience. OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Qualifying experience must include experience working with grants and the development/implementation of relevant fiscal policies and procedures.

CITY RESIDENTS’ PREFERENCE POINTS: City residents who pass an examination for a position in the classified service and do not receive any other preference will receive a five (5) point preference on a scale of 100 points on the exam. An additional one (1) point shall be added to the passing score of City residents who receive any other preference on a scale of 100 points. City residents must have resided in the City for at least one (1) year at the time of filing their application to be eligible for the preference points.
