The plan was adopted by the City’s Community Development Commission (the Planning Commission’s predecessor) on December 5, 1995. It has been amended three times since then (the first two by the Community Development Commission and the third by the Planning Commission).

Summary
The plan was adopted by the City’s Community Development Commission (the Planning Commission’s predecessor) on December 5, 1995. It has been amended three times since then (the first two by the Community Development Commission and the third by the Planning Commission). The plan is credited with helping to lead a $100 million restoration of the park by a public-private partnership.
