Requirements and steps to apply for a Liquor License in St Louis City

NOTICE:

As per Commissioner Myles McDonnell, effective immediately, all applicants/licensees must provide a current copy of your Missouri Division of Alcohol and Tobacco liquor license prior to your City of St Louis liquor license being certified for issuances and/or renewal.

Please be advised that NO new applications will be accepted on Thursdays when hearings are scheduled and/or held. Please adjust your schedules accordingly.

License Classifications

Drink Licenses

Drink license are issued to liquor establishments that serve liquor by the drink or in the original container for consumption on the premise.  A drink license establishment may also sell package liquor in the original package/container for off premise consumption. 

Package Licenses

Package license are issued to pharmacy, retail grocery store, convenience stores and florist. A package license allows for the sell of intoxicating liquor and/or beer in it original package/containers for off premise consumption only.  This license prohibits consumption on the licensed premise.
