MoDOT to Close Eastbound I-64 Downtown Wednesday Night

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close all lanes and ramps on eastbound I-64 downtown between Jefferson Avenue and the Poplar Street Bridge on the double deck structure, starting at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Crews will remove the concrete barrier on the interstate during the overnight closure.
One lane and the ramps from eastbound I-64 to 6th Street and 11thStreet will reopen by 5:30 a.m. Thursday. All other lanes and the ramp from eastbound I-64 to 14thStreet will reopen by 2 p.m. Thursday.
The Pine Street and Forest Park Avenue ramps to eastbound I-64 will remain closed for at least a week, until crews are able to complete joint work at the top of the ramps.
After Thursday, all lanes on eastbound I-64 will be open weekdays between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. for evening rush. Portions of the roadway will still be covered by steel plates, where crews are still working on replacing bridge joints. Crews will still close lanes on eastbound I-64 to complete construction work between 8 p.m. weekdays and 2 p.m. the following day.
MoDOT has scheduled the first of three weekend closures for eastbound I-64 between Jefferson Avenue and the Poplar Street Bridge for this weekend. Crews will close all eastbound lanes and ramps at 8 p.m. Friday, November 2. All lanes are scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, November 5.
The detour around this weekend’s closure will be to take Jefferson to eastbound I-44 and follow the interstate back to the Poplar Street Bridge.
