St. Louis Unveils Opportunity Zone Website and Announces Partnership with The Opportunity Exchange

Will work together to identify, support and showcase Opportunity Zone projects

St. Louis, MO - Today, St. Louis Development Corporation released its new Opportunity Zone website (stlopportunityzones.org) for the City of St. Louis and announced its partnership with The Opportunity Exchange, a national project and impact-tracking platform that helps communities maximize the impact of the Opportunity Zone incentive. The two organizations will work together to identify, support and showcase Opportunity Zone projects from across St. Louis to the growing number of Opportunity Zone investors nationwide.

“We believe this site will serve as an important tool in attracting new investment to the City and supporting new projects throughout our neighborhoods.,” said Matt Bauer, Opportunity Zone Project Manager for St. Louis Development Corporation.

Created in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, Opportunity Zones is a federal program that provides tax incentives for investments in new businesses and commercial projects in low-income communities. The city of St. Louis contains 27 Qualified Opportunity Zones.

“We are excited to be the portal that will help St. Louis identify and organize a pipeline of projects for local and national investors to connect with,” said Peter Truog, Founder of The Opportunity Exchange.
