Vote in Person on Election Day

Voters registered in the City of St. Louis can cast their vote at their designated location or at a Voting Center (a location where any St. Louis voter can can cast their vote regardless of their designated voting location) between 6 AM and 7 PM on Election Day. 

If you are unable to vote in person on Election Day, you can vote no excuse needed absentee in person for two weeks before each election, or apply for an absentee ballot.

1. Confirm you are a registered voter in your jurisdiction. If not, learn how to register to vote.
2. Confirm your polling location.
3. Confirm you have an acceptable form of identification.
4. Review upcoming election information.

1. Go to your polling location between 6 AM and 7 PM on election day. Depending on the election and time of day, you may have to wait in line. If you are in line by 7 PM, you will be allowed to vote.
2. When it is your turn in line, show your identification to the poll worker.
3. Fill out your ballot. Your ballot may be paper or electronic, or you may be asked to choose. Election poll workers on location will provide assistance if needed.
4. Cast your ballot.

If you vote electronically, you will receive a receipt. No matter what method you use to vote, you can pick up an "I Voted" sticker on your way out.

If you are not able to vote in person on Election Day, you may do either of the following:

• apply for an absentee ballot (ensure you meet the requirements for this)
• vote No Excuse Needed Absentee during the two weeks prior to the election
