Vote No Excuse Needed Absentee

As of August 28, 2022, all voters may vote in-person absentee during the two weeks prior to each election. This no excuse needed absentee voting method differs from application-based absentee voting in the following ways:

• You do not have to provide an excuse.
• You do not have to apply for an absentee ballot.
• No excuse needed absentee voting is only available at a few locations.
• You must bring photo identification with you; no provisional ballots are available.
• There is no mail-in ballot option for no excuse needed absentee.

1. Confirm you are a registered voter in your jurisdiction. If not, learn how to register to vote.
2. Find the nearest no excuse needed absentee polling location.
3. Confirm you have an acceptable form of identification.
4. Review upcoming election information.

1. Within two weeks prior to Election Day, go to your chosen polling location during its posted hours. Depending on the election and time of day, you may have to wait in line.
2. When it is your turn in line, show your identification to the poll worker.
3. Fill out your ballot. Your ballot may be paper or electronic, or you may be asked to choose. Election poll workers on location will provide assistance if needed.
4. Cast your ballot.

If you vote electronically, you will receive a receipt. No matter what method you use to vote, you can pick up an "I Voted" sticker on your way out.

Your ballot is now cast and you will not need to visit the polls again on Election Day. Thank you for fulfilling your civic duty.

If this method does not work for you, you may do either of the following:

• apply for an absentee ballot (ensure you meet the requirements for this)
• vote in person on Election Day
