City Jobs Are For Everyone

The City of St. Louis is:

Why Work For the City?

Benefits of Public Service

As an employee of the City, you'll join a staff of hundreds of people who love St. Louis and are committed to serving the people with whom we share this great City. City employees are paid competitive salaries and receive substantial benefits, many of which are not matched by private sector jobs.

Ultimately, working for the City is working in public service—selflessly, diligently, and for others. You'll be part of a team that does everything it can to make this City—and the lives of its more than 315,000 residents—as great as it can be.

Student Loan Forgiveness

The federal government offers the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) to employees of federal, state, local and tribal government organizations to provide them relief from the burden of long-term compound interest and fees over the lives of their student loans.

As an employee of the City of St. Louis, you may qualify for a substantial amount of your federal student loans to be forgiven.

Summer Jobs and Internships

We offer several dynamic programs and initiatives to the St. Louis City youth ages 17 to 24 in an effort to provide access to services and activities that connect young adults to jobs and education opportunities.

All participants in our youth programs are selected based on eligibility requirements, with each program designed to help young adults who face significant challenges achieve personal goals.
