Gateway Go (Bi-State)
This program is designed to make it easy for young people to connect with summer jobs, camps and recreational activities. CDA, DHS & SLATE launched the Gateway Go Youth Transit program with BiState and SLPS on March 14, 2022. Cards were set aside for young people in workforce development programs, including SLPS' Learn & Earn Program, and eligible unhoused individuals. Remaining cards are being awarded in partnerships with schools and through a public portal which CHIP eligible SLPS students and other eligible youth, including refugees, may apply. To date, the program has provided over 1000 individuals between the ages of 13 and 25 with a free public transit pass.
